The SAIC and the University of California at Irvine (UCI) have conducted research on the theoretical modeling of active regions, the solar corona, and the interior. The botanical garden and the Arboretum and Herbarium research center support projects carried out by students, postdoctoral fellows, and professors. The City of Irvine Charity Directory is a list of charitable organizations that provide assistance to residents of Irvine and surrounding areas. It is organized by subject area and is not intended to be all-inclusive. Many of these organizations welcome support through monetary donations or voluntary services.

During phase I of this research project, Terralog Technologies USA and UCI completed preliminary research and documentation of advanced design concepts for paired horizontal well recirculation systems, optimally configured for geothermal energy recovery in permeable sedimentary and crystalline formations with different structure and material properties. The University of California Forest Resources Center has established a new forest gene conservation program to ensure that California's rich and diverse forests maintain their vigour and productivity in the face of human activities. In the context of the growing sociolinguistic interest in transnationalism, this article uses the notion of scale as an ideological project (Irvine in Scale). The California Office of Research (CRB), in collaboration with the California Youth Relations Council (CCYR) and with support from the California Welfare Foundation, has been carrying out a major research and policy initiative to draw attention to the problems faced by homeless youth in California.
We quantified N2O emissions and C storage rates for lawns in four urban parks in the city of Irvine, California. A 1966 University of California academic plan estimated that future enrollment would far exceed 200,000 before stabilizing, and that by 1975 the demand for students would require two more UC campuses, in addition to those that opened a few years earlier in Santa Cruz, Irvine, and San Diego. Buyantuyev was a postdoctoral researcher working on the project and directing urban remote sensing activities in Southern California. OAK-TREE is an educational laboratory experiment on traffic that was developed and carried out at UCI. This 3-year project was a collaboration between UC Irvine, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), the Idaho National Laboratory (INL), the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) and with an international collaborator at ForschungZentrum Jülich (FZJ). This report provides an analysis of the space use of California condors (Gymnogyps californianus) in six management units in Southern California (the Hopper Mountain and Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuges, Wildlands Conservancy-Wind Wolves Preserve, the Tejon Mountain Village specific plan, the California Condor Study Area, and the Tejon Ranch, excluding the Tejon Mountain Village specific plan and the California Condor Study Area). In light of several signs that indicate significant growth in enrollment in California higher education, this study reviewed nine available projections for undergraduate enrollment in public higher education in California.

The University of California at Irvine has conducted an analysis of the new Medical School Admission Exam (MCAT) and its relationship with the classification criteria reached in the school year that ended in the spring of 1979 to determine its predictive power. As a result of this analysis and other signs indicating significant growth in enrollment across all levels of higher education in California state-widely; The Office of President at UC established a new system-wide multi-campus research project called 'California Risk Institute' (CHI).
This initiative aims to investigate innovative solutions for tackling issues related to homelessness among youth. In conclusion; UCI has been actively engaged in various research projects related to geothermal energy recovery systems; forest gene conservation; urban remote sensing; traffic experiments; space use analysis for condors; MCAT predictive power; as well as homelessness among youth. All these projects are part of CHI's mission to provide effective solutions for Californians.
